David would always stop and talk to any dog/dog walker; he loved dogs. Any time the family would venture out it could take hours, as David would know/talk to a lot of people but also all dogs had to be petted. Above we have photos of David with his late dog, Lady who followed David around like a shadow and had considerable more 'knee time' than his wife Lynda.
In line with David's love of dogs it feels fitting that we support dog based charities in his memory.
Assistive dogs UK (ADUK) is a voluntary coalition of assistive dog charities that aims to promote the freedom, independence and rights of people with assistive dogs across the UK. ADUK is a registered charity. Examples of the Assistive Dog Charities are :-
Hearing Dogs, Autism Dogs, Guide dogs for the Blind, Medical Detection dogs, PTSD Service dogs, Seeing Dogs, Dogs for Good aiding disabled people.
